Pain Free Living

Being pain free takes personal effort and commitment. It doesn’t come from a pill bottle, a surgeon’s knife, a brace, or in specially designed furniture. Pain has one function: to alert us to danger. Chronic pain warns us of acute motion starvation. Because our society is highly developed, we spend most of our time sitting (at computers, in front of the T-V, in cars etc.). Pain tells us that dysfunction is happening. Dysfunction is an impairment of functioning. For example, one of the neck’s functions

My arthritis started bothering me when I was in my 40s. I am an artist and spend hours vigorously expressing myself on canvas.  I stand for hours long periods of time and am continuously using my wrists to move paint around with my fingers.  I considered wrist surgery and knee replacements. Instead, I decided to first correct my body to optimize body functions.  After using an alignment exercise program for my own chronic pain, I experienced the wonderful health benefits, including mitigating my chronic pain.  I use an alignment exercise program daily and live 90% pain free.  I take no medication and have never had surgery.

Amazed by the results without the use of drugs, surgery, or the added pain of manipulation, I couldn’t wait to share the good news of relief to those around me.  That’s why I became a postural alignment therapist.*

I provide posture alignment therapy to those who suffer from chronic pain and seek relief without utilizing drugs, surgery, or manipulation.

The charge is $50.00 for the initial visit which takes between one and two hours.  I will teach each client specific exercises which can then be performed in the home.  Follow-up appointments for re-assessment and additional exercises cost $35.00.
